Gold and silver fire assays. 5 to 7 working days turnaround time is typical.
Fast, affordable, accurate numbers.
30 years experience. Hard rock, black sands, cons, native, sulfides, tellurides.
$35 Au + Ag assay, $30 Au only. $10 prep per sample (jaw, dry, split, pulverize) if your sample is not already crushed, dried or pulverized to the consistency of coarse flour.
Black sands special $75: run in triplicate and averaged.
When submitting a sample, please send 60+/- grams (about 3/4 cup) of representative material with an ID #1, #2,# 3, #4 etc. written on a piece of paper in each sample bag. Please do not write on the plastic baggie because it may smear, and do not write a sample description on the baggie. Just a single number in the baggie. You will know what the number means. I can't tell you how many sample descriptions have been unreadable due to smudging or unreadable handwriting. Please include your check or money order, your name, a phone #, and your email address for results. Please PRINT legibly. Please double bag if sample is wet. I ask for 60 grams just in case I need to rerun your sample should it not flux perfectly. A fire assay requires about one heaping tablespoon of pulverized sample material. Please do not send pounds of material. Instead, just send 60+/- grams of what you think is representative of your ore body. It will save you a lot of money in postage while supplying what I need.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance?
Lawrence Hittle PO Box #33 Jamestown, Co 80455 303-442-7157 email@example.com ------------------------------------------------------------------ A little about me.... I am a one man operation who can prep and fire about 16 samples per day. My business is designed to help the small miner who may not have the minimal number of samples or the budget to work with a larger commercial lab. I typically fire up my furnace on Tuesday and Friday. This allows a few days for small orders to accumulate in the lab so they can all be processed at one time to be profitable and make the best use of my time and equipment. I try to give you the best results I can provide, in a timely manner, at an affordable price. I am Penn State educated but didn't really find my niche until I moved to Colorado to join a fledgling mining company in 1979. I was fortunate to be taken under the wing of 4 old masters who taught me everything they knew about geology, mining, milling, fire assaying, AAS, and chemical extraction. Under their guidance, I was allowed to help build a proprietary lab and perfect a technique for processing gold from telluride ores with a 98% recovery rate. I have worked in three commercial labs as an assayer and AA tech since my early days with my mentors, one proprietary lab, and as the in-house assayer for two mining companies. I moved my assay equipment into my own building and offered my services to the general public in 2012. I have done work for about 300 clients from all over the western United States, Canada, Mexico, South America and Liberia, have a lot of satisfied repeat clients, and enjoy meeting and working with the folks in our field. If I can help you, please don't hesitate to drop an email or give a call. I answer all inquiries 7 days a week. Please see additional photos below. Thanks much! Lawrence Hittle, your assayer.
